Operation Encompass is a vital partnership between schools, the police, and local authorities, designed to support children who may have been exposed to domestic abuse.

When police are called to an incident of domestic abuse, they inform the school the following day. This confidential information allows school staff to provide immediate emotional and practical support to affected pupils, helping to ensure their well-being in a safe and nurturing environment.

By being informed early, we can take appropriate steps to safeguard children and minimise the impact of these experiences on their education and emotional development.
