School Meals

At Old Hill Primary School & Nursery, we are fortunate to have all our meals freshly prepared and cooked on-site by SIPS Education Catering. Each day, pupils can choose between a meat or vegetarian option, and all meals are nut-free. Fresh salad is also served daily. If your child requires a special allergy or diet menu for medical reasons, please ensure their Arbor account is updated so the office can be notified. If you need assistance, the school office will be happy to help.

Throughout the year, we host special celebratory meals and menus, so be sure to keep an eye on Dojo for updates. Our dining hall is a communal space where all age groups, from Nursery to Year 6, dine together, promoting a valuable social experience through shared meals.

Menu

Pupils have the opportunity to choose their meal during registration each morning. However, parents or carers can also select meals in advance from home via ParentPay. Please note that if a meal is chosen at home, the office cannot alter the selection later.
We ask that parents pay in advance for school meals, as we are unable to allow debt to accrue. Payments can be made via cash, cheques, or online.

Meal Prices

• £2.60 per day / £13.00 per week.

Pupils in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 are entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals.

Children are also welcome to bring a packed lunch if they prefer. We encourage balanced, healthy lunches and ask that packed lunches do not contain nuts due to allergies.

Snacks

Children in Nursery, Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 are part of the Government’s School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme, which provides each child with a free fruit or vegetable snack during the morning.

Children are also welcome to bring a healthy snack from home for break times.

Toast

Toast is available to pupils in Year 1 – 6 at break times for 25p per day / £1.25 per week which is payable via ParentPay.
