Online Safety
Technology plays an important role in children's lives. We teach pupils how to stay safe online through our curriculum and assemblies.
We encourage parents and carers to support safe online habits at home by:
- Talking regularly about online activity.
- Setting appropriate parental controls.
- Encouraging respectful online behaviour.
- Reporting concerns promptly.
Further guidance can be found on our E-Safety page.
Operation Encompass
Old Hill Primary School is part of Operation Encompass.
Operation Encompass is a national initiative that supports children who may have been affected by domestic abuse. It enables schools to receive information from the police before the start of the next school day so that appropriate support can be provided.
Further information can be found on our Operation Encompass page.
Early Help
Sometimes families may need additional support. Early Help aims to provide assistance at the earliest opportunity to prevent concerns from escalating.
If you feel your family would benefit from support, please contact the school and we will be happy to discuss available services.
Filtering and Monitoring
The school uses filtering and monitoring systems to help protect pupils when using technology in school. These systems support our wider approach to online safety and help us identify and respond to potential concerns.
